If you are looking for something a little more avant garde than Fall Out Boy, check out mewithoutYou. Easily one of the most amazing bands out there, technically and lyrically. I did notice you recommended a sampler from pure volume that had some good stuff on it. Starflyer 59 is another very mature band that is on their own as musical style goes…pushing the boundaries beyond the pop standard.
